Black History Bike Tour
Our Black History Bike Tour was created in collaboration with I Heart Bikes (Halifax Waterfront).
Stops: Halifax Waterfront, Citadel Hill, Uniacke Square, Mulgrave Park, Africville

“Saturday's bike tour was way more than a travel exercise. It was an Ascention to the next level. With our final stop in Africville we were met by the Spirit of our ancestors and they were proud. We gathered there to reflect and to receive the blessings that were perfectly and divinely laid out for us. Talk about alignment.”

“Thank you both for the wonderful tour you offered last Saturday afternoon. Your care in preparing a safe bike route, which contained historically (and currently) significant landmarks in Halifax’s Black history was impressive. I am not sure what my highlight of the tour was, but I loved the opportunity to see and experience these important landmarks up close. It was wonderful to stand in the community of Mulgrave Park, listening to a community activist, with children playing in the background. It was so vibrant and full of energy. I also found the Africville visit very powerful, seeing how large the community once was, and how the actions of others impacted it.”

“I am trying to learn what I can to be a better ally and your tour gave me lots of new information. I hope you will have many more tours in the future. It is inspiring to see young women following their passion, becoming entrepreneurs and building community.”
